Our group chess classes are designed to help students improve their chess game in a fun, social setting, while receiving structured instruction that focuses on real skill development. Whether online or in-person, these after-school sessions provide an interactive and collaborative environment where players of all levels can dive deeper into the art and science of chess.

Playing chess is a hungry and thirsty affair. Please bring plenty to eat and drink.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three players in the competition. All other players will be emailed a digital participation certificate within a week of participation.
If there are four or more students from a school attending, they will compete as a team (as well as individuals). Medals will be awarded to the top five players from the top three teams, and bronze medals to the top two individuals in the other teams.
Parents should arrive by 1.30pm if they wish to be there for the prizegiving.
A 7 round Swiss. Each player has 15 minutes per game to complete their moves.
If your child has any medical condition, please advise us before the tournament and on the day. EpiPen’s need to be handed to the tournament director on the day.
