Join us for a thrilling chess tournament hosted by Chess Ideas on Wednesday, November 20, from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Goldhirsch Hall in East St Kilda. Open to students of all skill levels, this 7-round Swiss format competition will challenge participants to showcase their talents while enjoying a supportive environment. Trophies and medals will be awarded, so come ready to compete and have fun!

Tournament Terms & Conditions

Lunch 

Playing chess is a hungry and thirsty affair. Please bring plenty to eat and drink.

Prizes

Individual Players:

Trophies will be awarded to the top three players in the competition. All other players will be emailed a digital participation certificate within a week of participation.

School Teams:

If there are four or more students from a school attending, they will compete as a team (as well as individuals). Medals will be awarded to the top five players from the top three teams, and bronze medals to the top two individuals in the other teams.

Parents should arrive by 1.30pm if they wish to be there for the prizegiving.

Format

A 7 round Swiss. Each player has 15 minutes per game to complete their moves.

Medical:

If your child has any medical condition, please advise us before the tournament and on the day. EpiPen’s need to be handed to the tournament director on the day.
